PROJECT OVERVIEW
At City Parks Foundation, I directed the delivery of community-focused programming that promoted sustainability and wellness, in underrepresented neighborhoods across NYC.
Each event and program series required cross-team coordination, collaboration with local partners, and attention to both logistical and emotional details that helped participants feel supported and engaged.
I worked behind the scenes to ensure everything — from schedules to sign-ins to workshop prep— ran smoothly. My focus was to reduce friction for staff and partners, ensure participants had what they needed, and help every session deliver on its promise of accessibility and connection.
MY CONTRIBUTION
Led workshop and event coordination for multi-site programming
Managed schedules, equipment setup, and attendance tracking across youth-focused events. This ensured seamless experiences for over 300+ participants across multiple neighborhoods.
Collaborated with 6+ local partner organizations
Built communication workflows with neighborhood nonprofits, schools, and wellness orgs to drive attendance and expand access. These efforts contributed to a 30% increase in program participation during my time there.
Led the creation of workshop prep checklists and staff guides
Introduced basic planning templates and visual run-of-show guides for event staff — making it easier to repeat successful sessions and onboard new volunteers quickly.
Provided day-of logistical support and problem-solving
Handled last-minute supply runs, on-site coordination, and participant needs to ensure events remained on track even when unexpected issues arose.
Captured feedback for future programming
Documented post-program reflections from staff and participants that were used to improve event flow, accessibility, and youth engagement strategies.

The programming grew in both reach and consistency, with stronger attendance, better prepared staff, and repeatable systems that made it easier for the foundation to scale impact. My guidance helped the team deliver events with clarity, reduced stress, and a deeper connection to community needs.
